The Warriors surprisingly took Stephen Curry at No. 7, leaving supposed heartthrob Jordan Hill on the board. (Hill went one pick later to New York.) Curry had refused to work out for Golden State during the workout season, and the hubbub followed that the Warriors would avoid a point guard to avoid angering Monta Ellis, who fancies himself a modern day Cousy. But there's a twist: all evening, a rumor that Phoenix is working on sending Amar'e Stoudemire to Oakland for a package of the No. 7 (Curry), Andris Biedrins, Brandan Wright and Marco Bellineli, has circulated. Marcus Thompson of the Contra Costa Times reports that Golden State may already be working on a tentative extension agreement with Stoudemire, who will be a free agent in 2010. Stay tuned.

I am a big Amare fan but his injuries have out shined his success. His eye will never be 100% and his diva like attitude is sad. I've come across him several times with my son who is a huge Suns fan and digs Amare's style of play and he was dissed when he asked for an autograph. I would be glad to see Amare go and the Suns add some young, healthy and energetic players.

I'm a Warriors fan and hope this trade doesn't happen. Amare has played is best ball and with Nash- He won't have the energy or get anything near that here in Oaktown. I hope the Warriors stay the coarse- Run, Gun and Go Crazy Offense- They are fun if nothing else.
