Lakers superstar Kobe Bryant is excited about his new teammate Ron Artest, a player who, within NBA locker rooms, has a great reputation. In this video, Kobe talks about the time that Artest paid Bryant a visit ... in the shower. Kobe also talks about missing Trevor Ariza, who is like a little brother to him, as well as his thoughts on the Shaq trade, 'Sheed going to Boston, and more. Check out the video after the jump.

If they Lakers sign Lamar Odom, they will be very good.
If the Lakers sign Lamar then the rest of the league is done.
The 2 best lock-down wings in the game flanked by 2 7 footers and Lamar odom exploding off the bench. The only weakness is aging but clutch Derek Fisher, but the Shannon Brown pickup should be able to remedy that problem
KOBE is a RAPIST and ARTEST is a WIFE BEATER.....way to represent lakers!!!!!
OH! First hater of the day! Nice. Let the hate rain down. Attack the players all you want but at the end of the day we end up with a championship.
Enjoy your crappy team. HAHAHA
JUST OUT OF CURIOSITY, WHAT DOES THAT HAVE TO DO WITH HOW GOOD THEY PLAY BASKETBALL. NO ONE CARES WHAT YOU DO IN YOUR PERSONAL LIFE, WHEN IT COMES TO YOUR JOB. WE DO NOT HAVE TO ANSWER FOR THEIR TRANSGRESSIONS, WE JUST HAVE TO LIKE THE WAY THEY PLAY!! WE DO NOT KNOW THESE MEN PERSONALLY!!
IF THEY DID WHAT THEY ARE ACCUSED OF, THE LAW HAS TO HANDLE THAT, BUT IF THEY DO NOT PERFORM ON THE COURT, I AM CHANGING THE CHANNEL!! GOOO LAKERS!!
cease2exist is a big ASS. Let the rape stuff go butthead. You're six years too late. Guess you have nothing to say about a FOUR TIME NBA CHAMP, except bring up the rape. The bitch was and still is a whore, KB did his wife wrong end of story. Grow a pair before you type on this blog again. The rape is old news.
The Laker's will repeat!!! No matter who does what, they will only make the playoffs to LOSE to the LAKER'S, yah gotta move on dude, get your head out of thee A_S, but you must be a clipper fan the way you be talking=== loser, ps move out of mom's house and see the world.......
cease2exist... your name says it all you idiot... why don't you do just that?? hate away, Lakers sign Lamar, any team you support can join you in your sorry name! HAAAAAA!!! CHAMPIONS!!!
Watch out for Cleveland. To all you Laker Shaq bashers, Get ready to watch the big fella reign thunder on your parade, as Shaq can still bang, consistently bring 18 points 10 rebounds a game, force double teams that will free up THE BEST PLAYER in basketball, Lebron James, and dominate Pau Gasol, who is one of the softest centers in the league. As far as Artest is concerned, he is no Shaq, and never will be, and the true heart and sole of the old Laker dynasty will show to the world why he is one of the greatest players and teammates of all time. Just a footnote for the ignorant Laker fans who love to diss Shaq: 5th ALL TIME in scoring, trailing the late great Wilt Chamberlain. Not bad for a guy who gets no respect and gratitude from the fickle Laker fans...
JeMarcus, you can have Shaq. All he's going to do is SLOW Cleaveland down. Ask Pheonix. They learned their lesson and couldn't get rid of him fast enough. The Lakers didn't have a problem beating him this year and they won't have to worry about him next year. To get respect, you have to earn it. Enough said.
As unpopular as it is, the Lakers were not dominant this playoffs, and frankly have serious holes. Any finals team where Walton gets minutes is a flawed team. Arizza was playing over his head (good for him, but I think he will fade like Gibson in CLEV did after his good playoff run) but the fact is the Lakers could have been down 3-1 in the Orlando series as easily as they were up 3-1.... you know in your heart it is true... the LAL needed to change... Artest is a good start if he can be controlled, but Bynum has trouble with the speed of a good #4, and Pau is not known for his defense.
Kobe is the man.... and why they won, but Houston was giving them all they wanted before injuries changed the series.
Lakers were the most flawed champions I have seen in over 30 years... Kobe's force of will carried them, but with everyone getting stronger???? who knows.
amen animar5... jamarcus, your sorry best player in the league, poorsoprt james, couldn't even man up and shake hands with the gentleman from orlando, who btw, whoooped his ass, and all that fat ass shaq is gonna do is SLOOOOOOOOOOw his me first game down. like my brother animar5 said YOU CAN HAVE HIS HAS BEEN ASS!!! btw KOBE is the best player in the NBA not LOSER lebron, and without him shaq don't get three rings while in L.A. LAKERS REPEAT IN 2010!!!
cjgdnight...magic could have easily been up 3-1??? well the Lakers could have easily swept that team as well....if not for the bumbled pass from Kobe or a timeout he could have called...even Gasol made a uncharacteristic play that could have possibly won us the ONLY game the magic won....STOP IT! MOST FLAWED CHAMPIONS???? REALLY! We controlled that series and took those games...nothing feel into our laps...starting in Denver after that bad loss...we took control of the series and did not look back....65 wins...FLAWED?...We were clearly the best team last year..We got our butts whipped in 08 finals...I know that but to say FLAWED champions...RIDICULOUS!!!
Houston was physicallykicking your ass.... not sure what game you were watching.
Orlando series took Fish with a three pointer (series tied 2-2 with miss) and another overtime game due to missed free throws... yeah they could have been down 3-1 just as easily... who are you kidding.
If ORL had more experience (esp at point guard) LAL would have been in BIG trouble. LAL have issues that need fixed... you live in denial.
Healthy Celtics kicked your ass last year showing how defensively poor the Lakers are... and made LAL one dimesional (Kobe) with PAU neutralized by Garnett.
AND WITH THAT I SAY THIS, IF HE IS SOO GREAT, WHY DIDNT HE LEAD PHOENIX TO THE PROMISE LAND THIS PAST SEASON? AND LEBRON IS GREAT, BUT NOT THE BEST, WHEN HE LEARNS HOW TO CONSTANTLY SHOOT A JUMPER, AND POST UP BETTER, THEN HE WILL ALMOST BE THE BEST. HE WAS SO GOOD, HE LOST TO ORLANDO ALL BY HIMSELF!!
I have a question. In the time it is taking the Lakers and Lamar Odom to come to an agreement, could the Lakers be losing any chance at getting free agent help should Odom sign with another team (OKC, Portland, etc.)?
kobe is good and now they add ron them two though is going to make them win again
By the way Shaq bashers, If any of you bothered to watch the Phoenix Sun's play last year, Shaq was consistently the best player, and put up the best all around numbers once Stoudemire got hurt. Shaq is leaving Phoenix because Stevie Nash has to play run and gun and can't play in a controlled offense and is thus exposed defensively. Lebron will only benefit from Shaq, as your "boy wonder" Kobe Bryant benefitted from Shaq's dominance. Last time I remember ANIMAR, Shaq won 3 finals MVP's, a league scoring title, and an MVP playing for the Lakers. But you ignorant Laker fans like to forget that, don't you! Let's see any one of you take the beatings Shaq has over the years and keep playing into his 19th year, still being a force in the middle. Kobe wouldn't have lasted 2 years taking the punishment that Shaq took. But you ignorant Laker fans like to forget that too, don't you!!
