Ever since being released from a federal prison camp in June, disgraced NBA referee Tim Donaghy has enjoyed relative freedom, working during the days and spending his nights in a halfway house in Tampa, Fla., biding his time until his 15-month sentence was complete on Oct. 24. Or at least, that was the plan; after being arrested by U.S. Marshals on Monday for an undisclosed rule violation, Donaghy may have his release date pushed back, or at the very least, may be forced to spend the balance of his sentence behind bars. [Update: Donaghy's violation is revealed.]
It's too early to say what the repercussions will be until information regarding the severity of his violations is released, but for the time being, he's being held without bail in a Hillsborough County jail.

bad referees, criminals as sports figures, doping. what's not to like about sports?
there's precious little that i can think of that makes any sense to watch in sports. no role models, people paid millions to engage in physical activity, only to then be found out to be a jerk, or that they are cheating. one after the other. good thing most sports fans are idiots, or it wouldn't be an industry.

uhm dude. that made no sense at all. Ok all im going to say on this is. I don't watch sports to find a role model or a good example, I found that in my parents, if you look at another athlete as a role model or hero or whatever then you need to ask your parents what they did while you were a kid. I watch sports solely on ENTERTAINMENT purposes and the excitement. So cmonn
